"Caleb is a very stable dog- quite possibly one of the most stable dogs I have ever worked with. He reacts appropriately in every situation. I would trust Caleb's judgment over that of most people I know. I can assure and attest to the fact that Caleb will "turn on" in a real situation and does/will not hesitate to bite (whether he knows the assailant or not) when necessary.
Caleb is an extremely intelligent dog who would make a good dual purpose police K-9, provided the handler is smart enough to handle him.
While he doesn't like a lot of hands-on affection and is very independent, he is great around kids and good in the house and vehicle. He is neutral toward strangers, much preferring the company of his handler. He is very responsive and bonded to his handler and easy to travel with. He's been all over the country and out of the country; he is not a dog who only performs well on his "own turf." He is who he is and is one of the most consistent, rock solid dogs out there. No surprises from Caleb.
Caleb's agility work and athleticism is amazing for a dog his size (right around 100lbs). He handles himself as well or better than dogs far smaller.
He can be trusted off leash in a public setting (assuming there is a relatively low number of idiots in the near vicinity). He is good with other dogs who are respectful and concede his superior status, but he is in charge of his world and simply will not tolerate rudeness or insubordination from other dogs. His biggest flaw is that he is a master escape artist. There is no such thing as a perfect dog, though.
Caleb is a dog that you don't have to worry about biting everything that moves, yet you can feel comfortable he will respond to a legitimate threat. I would not hesitate to breed Caleb, given I could find a female good enough to complement his attributes.
